2011 Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk

I’ve read and seen the posts on Scott Kelby’s blog about the annual Scott Kelby Worldwide PhotoWalks. In past years I have always had conflicts and was unable to participate. But this year my calendar was free so I signed up. I have been in Toronto on an extended project so I checked the Toronto Photowalk – filled to capacity with a waiting list. I looked up surrounding area photowalks and found one in Oakville that still had availability.

That Saturday morning on October 1st, was the first cold, windy, and grey day of the autumn here in the Toronto area, hardly an inviting day for a photowalk and it presented a challenging day for lighting – pretty flat.

So with about 25 fellow photographers we walked down some lovely residential streets, down to the lake front, along the Oakville harbor and and back through town to lunch together at O’Finn’s Irish pub.
